Can you believe that in just a few short weeks and after years of hard work and dedication, the Class of 2019 will be earning their Hanover College degree? On behalf of the Hanover College community, we applaud, you, our students for reaching this important milestone.
To celebrate, the Office of Alumni Relations is holding its annual Senior Class Induction to celebrate the transition from being undergraduate students to alumni of Hanover
*The Senior Induction is held for the senior class, faculty, and staff only. Thank you for understanding!
Seniors, if you are unable to attend, please contact Kim Leach at leachk@hanover.edu or 812-866-7194 to receive your special gift.
Schedule of events
5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. - CHECK-IN
All seniors will be able to check-in, by their last name (look for signs), in the Campus Center Lobby. At check-in, you will receive your Alumni ID Card, raffle tickets and two drink tickets. *Faculty/Staff: Please check in at the Faculty/Staff Table. Two drink tickets will be provided as well.
5:30 p.m. - SENIOR CLASS GROUP PHOTO
A group photo will be taken on the patio of the Campus Center. Please meet on the patio at 5:40 p.m. As a gift from the Alumni Office, the photo will be emailed to you prior to graduation. (Rain site will be in the CC Lobby or Withrow Center).
6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. - SENIOR INDUCTION CELEBRATION
Join us for a buffet dinner, raffles, mingling, and a cash bar in the dining room (seniors must have their ID). Two drink tickets will be provided, at no charge, for seniors 21 and over. Guests include alumni, faculty, staff and President Lake Lambert. The Honorary Class Member will also be revealed and a special gift will be presented to the seniors in attendance.
- 6:00 p.m. Welcome - by Christy Hughes, Director of Alumni Relations, and Shaina Lin '16, Assistant Director (raffle)
- 6:05 p.m. Invocation and Dinner
- 6:40 p.m. Congratulations and Alumni Oath - by President Lake Lambert (raffle)
- 6:50 p.m. Honorary Class Member revealed (raffle)
- 7:00 p.m. Senior Class Gift Update (raffle)
- 7:15 p.m. Closing Remarks and Final Raffle - by Christy Hughes and Shaina Lin '16
7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. - LIVE MUSIC AND DANCING
All seniors, alumni, faculty, and staff will be able to enjoy an evening of live music and dancing in the dining room. Entertainment will be provided by 'The Men's Room' featuring our very own Craig Philipp and Bill Bettler.
Honorary Class member
Every year, the graduating class selects a member from the College community to be their honorary class member. An honorary class member is recognized as part of the 2019 class and will be invited to future class reunions and events. Each nominee has been selected based on the impact they have made in the lives of the senior class.

What happens to my HC email account?
After graduation, you will still be able to access and use your current @hanover.edu email address. However, YOU can decide if you would prefer to have your HC email or a personal email account on file with the Alumni Office. The email address that you select will be used to keep you connected with HC.
Most communications regarding alumni events such as our Pub Night, Churchill Downs, Alumni Theme Park Days, Homecoming, networking gatherings, reunion gatherings and the monthly online newsletter called @Hanover will be sent to the email you have selected. As part of your RSVP, you will be asked which email address you prefer to have on file with the Alumni Office.
