Privacy Policy

Introduction

We have created this statement to demonstrate our firm commitment to your privacy. We do not collect personally-identifying information about you when you visit our site unless you provide such information to us. Providing such information is strictly voluntary.

Our Policy on Sharing Information about Alumni

The mission of the Office of Alumni Relations is to provide effective communication between the College and alums and facilitate increased alum interaction in the life of the College. As a part of that mission, the office maintains the alum database of personal information, including, but not limited to, information on a profession, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses. This information allows the College to maintain effective contact with alums.

The Office of Alumni Relations honors requests for addresses, phone numbers, mailing lists, and similar contact information with the expressed understanding that the information will be used only to foster stronger personal relationships among alums and with the College. If you wish your information to remain completely private, please update your Alumni Profile and then complete the privacy request form to notify the Alumni Office staff to update the alum database. The same understanding applies to information available in the published Alumni Directory and in the Alumni online directory. Information on Hanover College alums obtained from the Office of Alumni Relations, the Alumni Directory, or the online Alumni Directory is not to be used for commercial or personal for-profit endeavors or to solicit support for any non-profit activity other than Hanover College. This policy guides how we will handle the information we learn about you from your visit to our Web site.
