Alumni & Friends Day at Churchill downs - SOLD OUT!

Join us for the annual Alumni & Friends Day at Churchill Downs, where alums, family, and friends have gathered for over 50 years. Experience the thrill of galloping hooves, savor the taste of mint juleps, and witness the beauty of thoroughbred horses on Saturday, June 22. Gates will open at 11:30 a.m. for a fantastic gathering on the 4th floor of Millionaire's Row. Enjoy the Chef's Table Buffet on the terrace balcony until 3:00 p.m. A cash bar will be available (remember to bring your I.D.), and waitstaff will assist you throughout the day (tipping is not included and is appreciated). The first race begins at 12:45 p.m.

SPECIAL PRESENTATION
A select group of Hanover College alumni will have the opportunity to be a part of the action in Race 4. The race has been named after Hanover College, and a group will be randomly chosen to be escorted to the Paddock area to watch the horses being saddled before the race. Following this, the group can enjoy the race from a reserved trackside location, step into the Winner's Circle, and present a trophy to the winning jockey or owner. Please register by May 1 to be entered for this particular drawing!

A Guest Services Representative will come to our seating area 30 minutes before Race 4 to escort our group to the Paddock area. Below is what to expect for your Trophy Presentation.
- The group's personalized race name is listed in the program: The Pride of Hanover College.
- Announcement of the race name by the track announcer over the public address system
- An engraved trophy will be presented to the winning jockey, owner, or trainer.
- 8" x 10" color photograph taken in the Winner's Circle of the group to keep as a souvenir and will be posted here after the event.

- Parking
Currently, guests are encouraged to park in Yellow and Turquoises lots & enter through the Clubhouse or VIP gate for the following areas: General Admission, Clubhouse 100 or 300 level boxes, Stakes Room, Skye Terrace, Roses Lounge, Trophy Room, Finish Line Suites, Millionaires Row, Matt Winn's Steakhouse. You can access the Yellow and Turquoise lots via Longfield Avenue. Click here for the parking map.
- Tickets - We are sold out!
- This event usually sells out, and tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Tickets are refundable until June 10 if we have a waitlist and can resell the tickets. All tickets will be emailed one week before the event. Tickets are not printed and mailed.
- Each table seats eight people, and tables will be assigned seating based on class year or group.
- If you wish to sit with specific individuals, email those names to Christy Hughes at hughes@hanover.edu.
- Safety, Security, and What You Can Bring
Your bag may be searched, and you may be wanted by security upon entry. Do not forget your I.D. For a complete list, go here.
- Dress Code: Track Casual
- Do's: You may wear jackets and blazers or leave them out. Vests, shirts with collars, sweaters, dresses, pantsuits, dress jeans, dress shorts, slacks, golf shorts, and capris are considered appropriate attire.
- Don'ts: Worn or torn garments, crop or midriff tops, athletic wear, swimwear, frayed or torn denim, and flip-flops are not considered appropriate attire.
- Wagering & Betting
