From the opening kickoff to the final farewell, Homecoming at Hanover is more than just an event—it's a celebration of the bonds that connect us and the memories that bind us.

Fellow philanthropists, community leaders, and supporters will be invited for a special dinner to thank those who create a brighter future for our community and beyond. By invitation only.

7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.:      CLASS OF 1974 FRIDAY NIGHT GATHERING
Graduates of the Class of '74 are invited to the Shoebox for an informal pay-as-you-go gathering at the Shoebox. Catch up with old friends, reminisce, and make new memories. Only a headcount is needed!

8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.:     DJ BINGO 
The Withrow Activities Center will host an electrifying twist on the classic bingo experience - DJ Bingo Night! Get ready to groove, gamble, and win exciting prizes while vibing to the hottest beats spun by our talented DJ.

9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.:     MEMORIAL SERVICE
Join us at the Memorial Wall, opposite the President's Home, for a heartfelt memorial service as we gather to honor and remember those we have lost throughout the year. In a solemn and reverent atmosphere, we unite as a community to celebrate our dearly departed lives, memories, and legacies.

10:00 a.m.:     1974 SUPER TORNADO OUTBREAK: 50TH ANNIVERSARY
Presented by the Archives in Duggan Library, you are invited to an incredible presentation on the power and danger of nature's most formidable force. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the 1974 Supercell Outbreak that destroyed Hanover College. *The presentation is a recording of Dr. Gregory Forbes's April 3, 2024 presentation.

  • 10:00 a.m.: Replay of Remembrance Ceremony held on April 3, 2024.
  • 11:30 a.m.: Discussion and Desserts 
  • Noon: The Weather Channel's veteran severe-weather expert, Dr. Greg Forbes, headlined Hanover College's 50th-anniversary commemoration with a special campus presentation on April 3, 2024, and will be replayed for this one-time-only event. Forbes offered unique insights into the notorious 1974 Super Outbreak.

11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.    HANOVERFEST   
It's a day filled with boundless energy, vibrant colors, and endless fun as students, alumni, and friends come together to revel in the spirit of Panther pride. Mark your calendars, dust off your blue and red gear, and join us in the tailgate lot for a day of pure joy, laughter, and Panther pride at HanoverFest. Let's make this year's celebration one for the books!

Hanover College's Alumni Awards honor alumni for their contributions to their community, state, and nation through professional, public, and civic activities. The college's highest honor is the Alumni Achievement Award, given to alumni who have enhanced the college's reputation. The Distinguished Young Alumni Award is the highest honor given to alumni under 40 by November 1 of the nominating year. https://our.hanover.edu/Alumni_Awards

1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.:  PANTHER FOOTBALL VS MOUNT ST. JOSEPH
Grab your foam fingers, don your team colors, and get ready to witness gridiron greatness in action. Don't miss the excitement as Hanover College takes on Mount St. Joseph in a football showdown.

1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.:     CHAMPION'S CLUB GATHERING
All members of The Panther Club at Champion level are invited to the Homecoming football game to enjoy the festivities from the President's Box. Come cheer on your Panthers!   The Panther Club’s sole purpose is to provide additional financial assistance to our athletic department for our students, coaches, and teams. With your support, we will promote the championship spirit of Hanover athletics. 

3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.:     NICHOLS LIFETIME INQUIRY SERIES: Celebrating 25 Years of Study Abroad
From Europe's cobblestone streets to Asia's bustling markets, Hanover College students have ventured far and wide to broaden their horizons and deepen their understanding of the world. Join us in the Campus Center as we celebrate a quarter-century of Study Abroad programs at Hanover College!

5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.:   CLASS OF 1974:  50-YEAR REUNION DINNER 
Come together with fellow members of the Class of '74 for an evening of laughter, nostalgia, and the joy of shared experiences. Let's make this reunion dinner a night to remember—one that celebrates the enduring spirit of Hanover College and the timeless friendships that have stood the test of time.

  • 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. - Tailgating at the ADPi tent on the tailgate lot, alumni welcome!

AOII and Beta Theta Pi

  • 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.:  Meet in Cafe 1827 on the lower level of the Campus Center. Grab your favorite Starbucks coffee and catch up with friends. A few reserved tables will be available. 

Chi Omega

  • 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.:  Open House
  • 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.: Tailgating before and during the game under the Chi Omega tent in the tailgate lot 

Kappa Alpha Theta

  • 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.: 30-minute tours from current Thetas for alumni
  • 1:00 p.m.: Tailgate tent

Phi Mu

  • 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.: Open House
  • 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.:  Tailgating 

Lambda Chi Alpha

  • 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.:  Open House
  • Tailgating at the Tailgate Lot

Phi Delta Theta

  • 8:30 a.m.:  Coffee and pastries in the house lobby
  • 9:30 a.m.:  House Corporation meeting in the living room. This is an open meeting; all alumni are invited
  • 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.:  Refreshments in the dining room
  • 1:30 p.m.: Hanover Football!
