Get excited; it's almost your 25-Year Reunion! We invite you to save the date and start planning for Homecoming Weekend, a campus-wide celebration for the Hanover Community, on October 13-15, 2023. 

Registration for all Homecoming Weekend is located below.
The deadline to register for all events is October 6th. 

Reunion Information

Friday, October 13, 2023
  • 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.: VIP EVENT
    Location: TBD: By Invitation Only
  • 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.:  RED CARPET EVENT: In "The Cave of Salamanca"
    Come see the hilarious TV movie that the students of SPA260 and COM243 have created for your pleasure.  
    One of his humorous interludes, Miguel de Cervantes (1547-1616), the father of the Spanish hero Don Quixote, creates a brilliant fable about how we all believe what we want to believe. Everything that confirms our previous assumptions will be accepted at face value, no matter how absurd. The directors and the stars featured will attend the premiere, and you could ask them questions! (Spanish with English subtitles). Registration is not required.
  • 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.:  HOMECOMING KICKOFF PARTY!
    On Friday night, October 13, the Office of Alumni Relations will host its first Homecoming Kickoff Party in front of the Campus Center. Students, alums, faculty, staff, and friends of the College are all invited to ROCK THE CLOCK and enjoy an evening of live music with DJ Tonee and a cash bar. There will be a special appearance by the football team and more!
  • 7:00 p.m.:  HC VOLLEYBALL VS. MANCHESTER 
    • Location:  Collier Arena
  • 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.:  CLASS OF 1998 REUNION (25-YEARS) 
    Start the weekend with your class reunion at the Homecoming Kickoff Party to Rock the Clock! Bring your lawn chairs and find your reunion banner near your pop-up tent.
    • Location: Campus Center - pack the street and have a good time.
    • Cost: $0/Free for all
    • Food and DJ Tonee will get your feet moving with a great mix of music, a cash bar, and fun will take place! Food Truck, TBD.
  • 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.: ALL CAMPUS BINGO
    Join students, alums, faculty, and staff in the Withrow Activities Center (Campus Center) for a great bingo game!
Saturday, October 14, 2023
  • 8:00 a.m.:  TAILGATE LOT OPENS
    Any remaining spaces will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.:  WALKING CAMPUS TOUR (Campus Map)
    Take a self-guided tour and enjoy the beauty of Hanover College. Print the Campus Map and plan your route to see the buildings and landmarks that have arrived since your last visit. 
  • 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.:  ANNUAL MEMORIAL SERVICE
    Join Rev. Dr. Catherine Y.E. Knott, Ph.D., Ball Family Chaplain, as we remember those we have lost. This peaceful morning ceremony will give you time to reflect and pay homage to those you love and miss.
  • 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.:  SCIENCE CENTER SELF-GUIDED TOUR
    Take a ride on the science side! Take a self-guided tour and enjoy displays that include colorful minerals, rare & unusual fossils, art & cultural exhibits, a butterfly collection, and more. Stop by to see The Burning Tree Mastodon - the world's most complete American mastodon on permanent display!
  • 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.:  CAMPUS BOOKSTORE 
    The College Bookstore is on the lower level of the Campus Center and Alumni Stadium. Hours may vary.
  • 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.:  DUGGAN LIBRARY 50-YEAR CELEBRATION
    • 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.: Hubbard Paintings & Discussion
      • The Hollow Across the River: Harlan and Anna Hubbard and Hanover College, led by Jessica Whitehead '11, will focus on the following:
        • The Hubbards and their connection(s) to Hanover
        • Basic overview of the biography of Harlan Hubbard
        • History of Payne Hollow and the work we are doing with Payne Hollow on the Ohio

      • Lee Annis '78 has been commissioned to write about the last 100 years of Hanover College. Share your stories with him at the Duggan Library tailgate tent on the front row near Hanoverfest.  Look for signage.
      • Jeff Studds '77 is leading a project for the 50-year remembrance of the 1974 tornado. Do you have a story to tell about that day? Stop by Duggan Library.

    The Center serves as a safe and inclusive gathering space. In this place, people are given the encouragement and resources to build meaningful relationships across differences and open their minds and hearts to matters relating to race, gender, and sexual orientation. Join us inside Lynn Hall through the door on the right for some fun activities and good conversations.

    Are you attending the Homecoming football game on October 14, Champions Club members? If so, you are welcome to spend some time in the President's box with the President and other Champions Club members between 1:15 and the game's conclusion. Seatin in the box is minimal, so you may want to watch the game from the bleachers, but feel free to stop by the box for a snack and say hi.
  • 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.: PROJECT COCOON BUTTERFLY GALA
    Join us in the Ogle Center to celebrate the Butterfly Gala, an event dedicated to honoring alums and current students who have generously supported the Project Cocoon Gift Fund. This fund provides financial aid to LGBTQ+ students to remove obstacles that hinder them from selecting housing environments that promote their well-being. Project Cocoon also offers professional resources such as internships and career opportunities to LGBTQ+ students. Come and enjoy some delicious food and refreshments while we acknowledge the valuable contributions of our alums and current students. (Backup location: Brown Chapel, if needed).

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2023

  • 10:00 a.m.: SUNDAY MORNING SERVICE AT HANOVER PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH 
    Join President Lambert at the Hanover Presbyterian Church, located at 174 East Main Street, Hanover, IN 47243, as he leads the church services on Sunday, October 3. Rev. Dr. Catherine Y.E. Knott, Ph.D., will provide the Holy Communion.
  • 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.: Professor Emeritus Series: Dr. Tom Evans
    The Professor Emeritus Lecture Series will begin on Sunday, October 15, 2023, with a lineup of esteemed speakers. Attendees are invited to a light lunch and to hear from Professor Emeritus Dr. Tom Evans from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Ogle Center.
